Some rope, a wooden pole, a piece of meat = encounter with living dinosaur.
The sole surviving reptile of the Mesozoic era the ancestors of these saltwater crocodiles would have once lived alongside the Tyrannosaurus Rex over 200 million years ago. Having survived the Ice Ages and the break up of continents the crocodile is now faced with the threat of poaching, habitat destruction and legal hunting. It’s the end of an era. A growing demand for their leather and meat has made them a global commodity.
To witness the power and destruction that these creatures possess in the wild was both humbling and disturbing. To farm them like chickens seems wrong and desperately absurd.
